Fire station bids opened; new station targeted for late 2027

A big step forward for Waverly Fire/Rescue: construction bids for our new fire station were opened this month, and the city is now selecting a general contractor. Our volunteer department is responding to more calls than ever, and this station will give them the space, equipment storage, and facilities they need to keep serving our growing community. We're targeting an opening by the end of 2027, and I'll share updates as construction gets underway.
